While Colonel Lev Gurov investigates a case of mass poisoning with “burned” vodka, his partner Vladislav Krachko deals with an unknown girl he saved after an accident. The girl, carefully hiding who she is and where she’s from, is convinced that the car that hit her was not there by chance and not at that time—it was an assassination attempt. The victim’s paranoia makes Krachko chuckle with irony, but soon he has to save not only her, but also his own life from hired killers who are tracking down the unknown. Gurov joins the protection of the girl. The detectives begin to suspect that the case of the “burned” vodka is somehow connected to the mysterious identity of their new acquaintance.
