Description
70-80s of the 20th century. The novel’s heroes are stars of Soviet cinema, theatre, and literature, portrayed by the author in real life, with their problems, disagreements, and creative quests at the twilight of the Soviet era. What were the relationships between the creative intelligentsia and the authorities, and how did cultural figures affect the country—everything is shown by the author on the basis of unique personal experience gained through wide-ranging conversations with well-known actors, directors, and writers, as well as top representatives of the ruling power structures.
