Description
District officer Nikolai Frantsev is a happy man. He has a wonderful wife, wonderful children, and a great home in the elite cottage settlement “Ingriya,” where the rich and famous live. But someone is brutally killing the residents of “Ingriya”… In just a few days, two businessmen and one municipal official have died. The investigation links these murders to the official activities of the murdered men—activities, as it turns out, weren’t entirely clean. As befits a good district officer, Frantsev deals with all kinds of people, learns a great deal of interesting things, and that may completely overturn the course of the case…

Tatyana Ustinova recommends: “Ekaterina Ostrovskaya doesn’t just invent and write detective stories. She has a rare ability to create whole worlds on the pages of her books—captivating, mysterious, alluring, but somehow just a little bit unreal. And this ‘not quite real’ quality only benefits her works… I also like all Ostrovskaya’s books because she uses the full power over the worlds she has invented to restore justice in real life.”
