When the moon rises over an old park and its deceptive light glides across the statues standing in the pavilion, it feels as if they come to life. You can almost feel the gaze of long-dead women—those whom the sculptor called his muses—so masterfully carved that it seems you might catch the beating of a heart inside the marble chest. Some residents of the estate believe that the muses live their strange and terrifying lives, and, obedient to the genius and malice of their owner, they take revenge on the living—sending endless misfortunes.
