The Flyswatter

The main character of the story is the luckless head of "Vtortsvetmet," oppressed by the monotony of life and dull work, and suffering from the disrespect of the staff. To top off all his troubles, he is also maddened by flies that have settled in his office like a curse and drive him almost to frenzy. It seems there will be no end to his torments, but things take an unexpected turn when a strange visitor offers the hero an astonishing solution to his problems...
