This book brings together stories about people and houses of Moscow. Stories about those whom we know either not at all or very little. In Moscow city legends, the author, journalist and Moscow scholar Oleg Fochkin, shared through personal perception unusual places of the capital that we pass every day—and even if we notice them, we very rarely know their true fate. Over several years, the stories collected by the author were published in the newspaper “Evening Moscow” and drew a great response from readers. In fact, this book became the result of a conversation with readers who complemented it and suggested their own travel routes through their hometown. The German suburb and the Petrovsky Park, Zamoskvorechye and Tverskaya, Maroseyka and Kolomenskoye… And these are only a few of the names we will have to go through together and discover again.
