Mont-Oriol

“Mont-Oriol” is the third novel by the French writer Guy de Maupassant, published in 1887. The plot is built around the story of how the small town of Mont-Oriol is transformed into a fashionable resort. Against the backdrop of the resort, the relationship between Andermart and Christiane—husband and wife, a world of money and a world of spirituality—develops.
