Zei always believed that raider raids into savage worlds with zero potential of the Force were a stupid idea. Why? For unclear trophies made from dead materials? For questionable fame? No, it’s not needed by the ethno s. His opponents on the Council of the Highest considered this position weakness and were sure there was no other way. So Zei will have to endure this circus again and observe the new expedition.
A group of raiders planned to go through the portal in order to bring back dead toys from the savage world. No one knew how this mission would end. No one across the whole Al ton g r e could imagine that the natives on the other side of the portal would set a trap and wait.
The caves filled with devilish fire. The brave raiders died one after another. The Servant of the Portal died too. The savages directed their dead beasts into an attack, sweeping everything away in their path. Even Zei’s force shield wasn’t enough to prevent catastrophe. He had to warn the others that the Force the Council and the entire ethno s rely on so much is a misconception. You can’t rely on it in everything and always. But no one listened to Zei—the Highest plan to take revenge for the damage done. Which means the fate of the arrogant world fed by the Force is already decided.
