Most readers of my generation are well aware, thanks to Nikolay Coon, of the fates and adventures of the heroes of ancient Roman and ancient Greek mythology. However, they have a very hazy idea of the heroes of our mythology—the Slavic, Baltic, Far Eastern, and Northern myths.
All the best and most captivating tales of the Slavic peoples, the Balts, the peoples of the Far East and the North are collected in a unique anthology compiled by the ethnographer Tatyana Muravyova. On the pages of the book, the pagan deities of the ancient Slavs come to life, along with mermaids, water spirits, and forest sprites (leshies). The book is intended for readers from 9 to 90 years old—it will be interesting for both children and adults.
