Metal the Color of Blood

1941. During the evacuation of valuables from the palace complex near Leningrad, an exhibit called “The Emerald Pantry” mysteriously disappeared. The prepared cargo never arrived at its destination, but—later it turned out—it didn’t end up with the Germans either. After the area was liberated from occupation, Major SMERSH Oleg Berezin was tasked with finding out what happened to the unique collection. He manages to locate surviving witnesses to those events, but no one remembers the details of the rushed departure anymore. The mystery begins to open up only when Berezin gets into a fight with unknown people who know exactly what they’re hunting for...
