In addition to his many contributions to Philosophy, Schopenhauer laid the philosophical foundation for a new science that, in 1907, Ivan Bloch named sexology. Schopenhauer did it easily and naturally—simply by including the chapter “Metaphysics of Sexual Love” in his main work, “The World as Will and Representation.”
In this rather entertaining little book, you’ll find both a canonical text by Schopenhauer and, as always, accessible and engaging commentary and explanations by Boris Polomoshny— a popular guide through the philosophical wilderness for the lazy.
