This work by Mikhail Seregin is in a genre best described as humorous detective fiction. The plot is typical of a detective story, but the way Seregin tells it will make you keep stretching your mouth all the way to your ears. And the main hero is an African American, a brave policeman—Fyodor Ganga.
About the plot: in a small town in the province, two daring crimes happen. First, unknown people crash a car into the favorite of an upcoming bodybuilding competition—a young businessman. Then there is a robbery of an antique shop: a trophy is stolen, the one that is supposed to become the main prize at the upcoming tournament. There is plenty to puzzle out for the detectives, including the Black detective Fyodor Ganga, who has chosen a profession as a police officer (a “cop”).
