Fedor Chu, who works as a meteorologist, travels with his pregnant wife, Nina, to a remote Siberian village, Solnechnoye, for a month. This period was supposed to be time for rest before the birth and for improving their relationship, but instead they find themselves in an isolated place where the locals are strong in their superstitions and worship the bear as a protector. Tension between the couple and the villagers grows when unexplained events begin to happen in Solnechnoye.
The novel "Bear’s Crossing" is about a Siberian village, beliefs, and shamanism. It was a finalist of the EXMO & ASPIR literary residency dedicated to studying the culture, traditions, and folklore of the peoples of Russia.
