Honey Days

A wealthy American Jew, Jeremiah Mendelstrum, decides to donate funds for the construction in the City of the Righteous in the Holy Land of a ceremonial bath— a mikveh—in memory of his late wife. A suitable place is found only in a neighborhood populated by repatriates from Russia, who don’t know what a mikveh is and sincerely believe that the municipality is building a chess club for them… In the most incredible way, the bath-club will change the fates of many of its visitors.
