Victorian London becomes the stage for chaos when an ancient djinn, imprisoned for years, is finally freed. His attempts to help his new master—young architect Horace Ventimor—turn into a comedy of errors that threatens the architect’s very existence. Meanwhile, strict businessman Paul Baittyd, having swapped bodies with his son, unexpectedly realizes that adult life is full of difficulties he never suspected. In the novella “The Copper Jug,” Horace Ventimor accidentally releases a djinn who promises to grant all his wishes—only to make life harder. Horace tries to get rid of the intrusive spirit, which brings more problems than benefits. In another story, Paul Baittyd understands that switching places with his son is far more difficult than he thought.
