Description
“A Lighthouse at the Edge of the World” — This is an adventure novel by the French writer Jules Verne and his son Michel Verne, from the cycle “Extraordinary Voyages,” written by them in 1905. To ensure safe navigation in the Strait of Magellan, the Argentine government builds a lighthouse on a small uninhabited island. The ship carrying the builders departs for Buenos Aires, and on the island remains a watch shift of the lighthouse keepers—only three people: Vasquez, Felipe, and Moritz. But on the island there are also other inhabitants who categorically disagree that the lighthouse will help ships pass through the dangerous strait.
