Anatoly Fyodorovich Drozdov is a well-known Belarusian Russian-language science fiction writer working across different genres. The series of books he began, “Masterovoy,” was continued jointly with his compatriot—another science fiction writer, Anatoly Evgenyevich Matvienko. We present in audio format the third novel of the “Masterovoy” cycle, written at the intersection of the genres of “isekai” (people transported into another world) and alternative history. The book is called “Revolution.”
Here we have an “alternative” Russian Empire. On its throne sits Tsar Georgiy, supported by the guard of mages, or as they are called, the “Ennobled.” But one day, a drifting soul gets into this world. It inhabits an ordinary craftsman, Fyodor, who had worked at a factory since childhood and lived quietly, measuredly. Needless to say, now Fyodor’s life will change significantly, and everyone in the empire will talk about him.
In Russia, Fyodor is considered dead. His inheritance has gone to the treasury. They buried the hero with honors, and nobody wants to hear about his “resurrections.” Meanwhile, Fyodor is in a hostile country as a spy, trying to interfere with Germany’s plans regarding his homeland. And he will be helped by a new companion—the soul that has been placed inside him. Details are in the audiobook.
