Anatoly Fyodorovich Drozdov is a well-known Belarusian Russian-language science-fiction writer who works in different genres. The series of books he began, “Masterovoy,” was continued jointly with his fellow countryman, science-fiction writer Anatoly Yevgenyevich Matvienko. We present, in audio format, the second novel of the “Masterovoy” cycle, written at the intersection of the genres of “isekai” and alternative history. The book is called “Magic and Bullets.”
We have before us an “alternative” Russian Empire. On its throne sits Tsar Georgiy, supported by a guard of magicians—those, as they call them, the “Enshrouded.” But one day, an unmoored soul enters this world and inhabits an ordinary craftsman, Fyodor, who has spent his entire life working in a factory and living a quiet, measured existence. Is it worth saying that now Fyodor’s life will change drastically—and everyone in the Empire will start talking about him?
Fyodor has done a lot for armament: he created weapons that people had never even heard of before. Only these inventions are not liked by everyone. As a result, the hero has to flee and defend himself. But Fyodor will be able to stand up for himself, and the enemies will bitterly regret that they didn’t let him calmly do what he loves.
