A new novel from the STEKLO series. What always happens to someone else.
On a remote island in Vietnam there is a mysterious art residency called “Jungles.” Its leader, an artist-coach with the pseudonym Adam, is known as the creator of “bloody” paintings and cruel performances. He promotes the idea of self-expression through pain.
Rosa knows firsthand what that means: she studies at university in a specialty she doesn’t like, she reflects a lot, and dreams about a tragically beautiful fate that will let her become a real writer. And now, Rosa goes to Adam’s art residency to bring her yearning to life.
But the reality she will face turns out to be nothing like her expectations and dreams.
Sofia Astashova, author of the autofiction novel "Probably, the Devil": “From the book you can take a lot if you want. If you look not only at the exciting plot, but at the motives behind the characters’ actions. Or you can just follow the development of the story and enjoy it for a few evenings, like watching your favorite series or reality show.”
