In the old part of Pinzhou, a major reshuffle is over: a children’s hospital has been moved to a new district, leaving only an emergency department in an almost deserted city.
On the eve of New Year’s celebrations, disaster strikes— the bus carrying the core team of doctors crashes from a bridge into an icy river. No one survives.
Under emergency orders, Zhou Yun is appointed to run the department— the head who was only recently removed from her position.
