Description
“Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott is a novel that has raised more than one generation of readers around the world. First published in 1868 in the United States, it has been translated into more than 50 languages and served as the basis for six films, four TV series, several operas, and stage productions.

In the March family, four close-knit but very different sisters are growing up: the romantic Meg, the impulsive Jo, the quiet Beth, and the willful Amy. Together with their mother—waiting for their father to return from the war—the girls take a difficult path into adulthood, where they face hardships and rewards, deadly dangers and selfless help, false directions and true friends.

For the first time in Russia, the novel is accompanied by wonderful original illustrations by the American artist Frank T. Merrill.
