As children, we all dreamed of different miracles—of something like in a fairy tale happening in our lives. For instance, finding a magic wand like Nesten’kа. Or getting magic shoes, like Ellie in the Land of Oz. Or finding a lamp with a genie, like Volka from the story about Old Hottabych. Or at least never having to learn lessons, but knowing everything anyway, like Alyosha in The Black Chicken. But all of that was only a dream. And then an ordinary boy, Maksimka, finds an extraordinary cap—one that makes him invisible. And suddenly modern children realize that magic isn’t as simple as it seems…
