Description
Europe, the late 1930s—early 1940s.

Yesterday Stefan Schuster was a fairly well-known director of erotic films in Germany; now, by order of the Nazis, he is forced to shoot a piece of propaganda about life in an isolated labor camp for a national minority. Being himself segregated and deprived of civil rights, he initially throws himself into the work with enthusiasm—but each new day convinces Schuster that the script is a lie, and the outwardly well-kept appearance of the Jewish community is nothing more than a stage set. And then he decides on a wild, desperate adventure.

The listener will have to travel ten, twenty-five, forty years into the future, cross borders and oceans, find living witnesses of those events, and—together with the book’s heroes—assemble a single story from scattered pieces about what the promise of the Führer to give them an entire country meant for the labor camp’s inhabitants: Madagascar.
