Fed up with life in the Third District—where poverty rules and there’s a lack of sunlight—Kristina Meyer tries to find a better fate. She makes her living by stealing, and one day an ancient artifact ends up in her hands, left behind by a previous, more technologically advanced civilization—a neo-key. Kristina believes that selling it for big money will be the first step toward her dream, but she doesn’t know that a certain man, nicknamed “Blind Pyu” in bars, who easily stole something valuable from her, will move after her. She also doesn’t suspect that by accident she will activate the artifact—and that “Pyu,” whose blindness she plans to use to her advantage, will actually turn out to be General Erdigan, involving her—the thief—in his own intricate plans.
