Love in the Time of a Pandemic

Famous writer Viktor Maleev is murdered in exactly the same way as one of the characters in his own novel. Unlike investigators, private detective Vera Berezhnaya doesn’t think it’s an accident and looks for the roots of the crime in the past. The past is dark for the popular writer: both the work of a cat-kidnapper, and friendship with a thief in law, and huge gambling card debts. And then it turns out that Maleev’s novels were written by someone else entirely—could it be that that person is not only the author, but also the murderer?

In the new detective novel by Ekaterina Ostrovskaya “Love During a Pandemic,” the investigation is led again by the brilliant and unique Vera Berezhnaya, owner of the detective agency “Vera.” Alongside the official investigation, she tries to find out who killed the famous writer Viktor Maleev.
