A Trap for Crickets

Director Kirill Yurganov leads the unusual theater "Echo," where minimal actors—people with unusual heights—perform. When an influential general sends an unexpected invitation, it seems like a chance to pull the troupe out of need: at the closed estate "Arsenal" they promise a grand production that will bring money and recognition.

But instead of success, the artists find themselves cut off from the outside world. The owner suddenly disappears, and his wife turns the guests into part of a cruel game—transforming them into living toys for a capricious son. Day by day, humiliations intensify, and dangerous games at the edge of life and death unfold amid the intrigues among the servants and the fractures within the troupe itself.

Realizing that they have no one to rely on, the heroes must decide what to choose: to submit to the role of entertaining "crickets," or to risk everything in order to break free.
