Description
A long-forgotten king granted his beloved a huge castle, Keepsake, and left to never return. Despite the wonderful butterflies living in the garden, Keepsake became her curse. The queen was dying from longing and loneliness inside the huge stone monster. She sealed herself inside an old chapel, unable to bear being separated from her beloved.

Nina Parr read this fairy tale as a child. Because of the butterflies, her own father died—a famous entomologist. She never saw him again until he came back to life, appearing on the doorstep of her home—before it turned out that the old fairy tale was not a lie.

“Summer of Butterflies” is the story of a family, the story of women who survived war and violence—women who had to fight for their love. And each of them must return to the castle hidden from outsiders’ eyes, lost in the forests of an old county. They will return to learn the whole truth about themselves. And then the main summer of their lives will begin—the summer of butterflies.
