The Witches' Staircase

Marina has been through a lot: she received messages from a deceased classmate, learned that the girl was a medium, was kidnapped and brought home without any memories of what happened to her… To come back to herself, the girl leaves for a remote boarding house, where she hides from people and social networks—but from herself, you can’t hide so easily. A mysterious note from an unknown Dasha lures Marina to take part in a reenactment of a knightly tournament, where she goes along with a friend who came to visit her. On the way back, together with a random acquaintance, they get lost in the woods and hide from the rain in an abandoned house standing in the middle of the forest. Perhaps that’s where the witch people talk about around these parts lived. Perhaps her restless spirit still haunts the house and won’t just let out-of-the-way travelers go. But who should be feared more: the dead witch or the living stranger who clearly lies about how he ended up here? What is he planning? And why did Dasha mention his name in her note?
