Lecture: Happy Times

Yuri Rost is a well-known journalist and photographer, author of a unique genre that combines images with their descriptions. His works allow you to see life as it is—amazing, diverse, and fragile. Rost presents important events of recent years through the prism of his artistic perspective. In his new book, “Happy Times,” he gathers memories of meetings with friends and outstanding figures such as Gia Danelia, Otar Iosseliani, Bella Akhmadulina, Rezo Gabriadze, Buba Kikabadze, and Sergey Yursky. “Today, my life has more losses than gains. That’s why I decided to return many of my friends, at least on the pages of a book. This is a book about joyful memories, love, friends, and Georgia. Let’s remember together,” Rost says.

Yuri Rost is a photojournalist, writer, actor, and TV host. He has been awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and arts, and the independent “Triumph” prize. He is also a member of the board of trustees of the charitable foundation “Creation.”
