Lecture: "Lenin. Russia's Seducer"

1 hr. 51 min.
Description
In 1917, Russia’s political arena was full of outstanding and talented individuals concerned about the country’s future. Yet all of them were defeated by Lenin. The reasons for this defeat are still debated: some believe that Lenin received financial support from Germany and engineered a revolution that led to chaos and decline in the country due to a lack of Russian roots and the absence of patriotism in him. Surprisingly, even a century later, we know too little about the person who fundamentally changed the course of Russian history and shaped the modern state. To this day, we live with the legacy left by Lenin. These aspects will be discussed in the lecture by journalist, writer, and TV host Leonid Mlechin.
