Description

Vera Ostrooumova, one of the first female anthropologists, studies the phenomenon of death across different cultures. During a trip at the train station in the southern city of Seversk, a murder of a young beauty—Olya Meshcherskaya—occurs, and an army officer is immediately arrested. Vera accidentally finds the victim’s diary and decides to stay in the city to figure out what really happened to Olya Meshcherskaya. A story that seemed like an ordinary crime driven by jealousy turns out to be much more tangled and mysterious.
