Description
“The Labyrinth” is an author’s collection that includes six stories and two novellas. Behind the amusing form of the stories, there are deep meanings: multi-layered and multifaceted kaleidoscopes in which an intellectual reader can see a great many different interpretations (epigraphs for each of the stories serve as a hint or a key to such interpretations). The novella “Uroboros” is a “ringed” work (in the symbolism theory of Uroboros, it is a snake biting its own tail). The central theme of the novella is the theme of Good and Evil.

The novella “The Labyrinth,” which gave its name to the entire collection as well, is the backstory to the novel “The Gospel of Morpheus.” The main character of this novella comes to visit his old friend in a small provincial town, and then—finds himself in a mystical place (a sort of otherworldly realm, the “Heavenly Labyrinth”), where the main events of the novella unfold…
