Description
“Bloody Money”: at the heart of the plot is a tangled story of love, jealousy, and murder in an aristocratic estate. Noël Lambert is in love with Agnes, the wife of Sir Hubert Pyne, creating a complicated love triangle. When a mysterious murder takes place, suspicion falls on a Gypsy from a nearby camp. However, the cunning Miss Clara Gryby—armed with knowledge of other people’s secrets—stirs up her own intrigue, trying to use the situation to her advantage. Where is the key to solving the crime hidden—within the Gypsy camp or among the corrupt representatives of high society?
“Blue Talisman”: the famous missionary and Africa explorer Weldon brings to London an ancient stone endowed with mysterious power—according to native beliefs, though he himself considers them superstition. Soon, Weldon is found murdered in a locked room, the talisman has been stolen, and suspicion falls on almost everyone staying at the boarding house. Could he have become a victim of the stone’s curse?
