Georgy Ivanovich Gurdjieff was a legendary philosopher-mystic, writer, composer, and traveler. Without a doubt, he is one of the most outstanding and enigmatic figures of the 20th century. During his activity, he founded the Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man, became a spiritual teacher and mentor for such well-known people as P. D. Ouspensky, J. G. Bennett, F. Gurdman, and others.
The most important part of Gurdjieff’s entire life is the monumental work—a collection of “Everything and Everyone”—which includes the book “Critique of Life of a Human Being. Tales of Velsebul to His Grandson.” The events described in the work take the reader on an amazing and fantastic journey, opening up new horizons for perceiving reality. First, the author mercilessly and uncompromisingly destroys people’s faith in their established worldview, and then gradually builds the true picture of current realities in order to achieve harmony and enlightenment of consciousness.
