Vladimir Korn is a Russian writer, author of several cycles of adventurous science-fiction novels. The book offered here is the first in the cycle “Christian Floyd.”
Liberill is a world created by the author’s imagination. It reminds one of America of the 1920s: gangsters, jazz, modernization. The main hero is young Christian Floyd, a former musician and now unemployed—together with his friends, he tries to find a place in the sun. Seeing no legal way to make money, Christian commits an armed robbery of local criminal authorities. Taking a big haul, the hero finds himself caught between hammer and anvil—more precisely, between several gangs whose money he has taken, the police, and certain mysterious forces.
Meanwhile, rumors spread through the city about the elusive Warden—a crime-fighter. Some believe that beneath the Warden’s guise hides none other than Christian himself.
So everything is against the hero and his friends. Can he get out of this very bad situation? Listen—and you’ll find out!
