1942. The outcome of the Second World War is not yet clear. Fighting goes on both beyond the Arctic Circle (“His Majesty’s Cruiser ‘Ulysses’”) and in tropical latitudes (“South of Java”). In the north, the Anglo-American convoy FR-77 must deliver tanks, aircraft, and aviation fuel to Soviet Murmansk, breaking through enemy cordons. In the south, a merchant ship leaves ruined, burning Singapore. For the passengers, it is their last hope of survival; for British intelligence, it is the only chance to pass to command the plans of the Japanese to seize Northern Australia.
