Description
This audio course examines the essence of such a concept as social management, analyzing various approaches to it.

An attempt is made to provide it with a philosophical foundation. Theories, views, and concepts of such prominent theorists of social management as F. Taylor, A. Fayol, M. Weber, E. Mayo, G. Ford, G. Emerson, A. Gastev, A. Bogdanov, and others are presented in detail. The interconnection between social management theory and philosophy, management, and the sociology of management, sociology of labor, and social psychology—as well as a number of other disciplines—is shown. An analysis is provided of various national models and systems of management, their features and specificity, using examples of the USA, Japan, Russia, and several European countries. The author here attempted to generalize his experience teaching this discipline, as well as scientific novelties, ideas, and conclusions that appeared in monographs and publications of recent years. The material presented may be useful for those who study the philosophy of management, sociology of management, management, and the history of social management thought.
