Little Red Riding Hood

The world of poetic fantasies and the people’s beliefs about justice and happiness came alive and spoke under the magic pen of the famous French storyteller Charles Perrault (1628–1703).

In his tales, “there is precisely that mixture of the mysteriously wonderful and the everyday-simple, the noble and the amusing, which is the distinctive feature of true fairy-tale invention” (I. S. Turgenev).

In the embroidered outfit of kind humor and graceful fancy appears a tale of wondrous salvation of the little Red Riding Hood—“so pretty that none in the world could be better than she”—and her grandmother from the evil and cunning Grey Wolf.
