In 1968, student riots and workers’ strikes break out in Paris, and the Fifth Republic is under threat. At this time, a young romantic named Hervé discovers the body of a familiar student—horribly mutilated and posed like a yoga figure. He asks for help from his brother, the policeman Jean-Louis Maërche. Jean-Louis takes up the investigation together with Hervé and Nicole, the deceased girl’s friend. Together they must unravel dark secrets, study human cruelty, and hope they find the truth and escape the horrors awaiting them in Paris, India, and the Vatican. Instead of becoming heroes of Paris in 1968, they become heroes of a completely different story—far more terrifying and bloody.
