Cat and Mouse

Günter Grass is a modern classic of German literature. The main theme of his work is Germany’s fascist legacy. At a time when Germany tried to forget and hush up this shameful piece of history, Grass launched a fierce critique of that situation, releasing several novels devoted to the fates of people and the country during Hitler’s time. In the novella “Cat and Mouse,” the story is about a person morally maimed and then destroyed by Nazi false morality and war.
