The Phantom Ship

The father of Philippe Vanderdecken was a sailor, a ship’s captain. No matter what, he wanted to round the Cape of Good Hope, but terrible winds and currents prevented him. The crew refused to obey. In a rage, the captain threw the ringleader of the mutiny overboard and cursed God. He swore on a piece of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord that he would fight against Heaven and Hell to the end. Higher powers punished the captain, condemning him to eternal wandering aboard the legendary “Flying Dutchman.” Without the right to return home, forever drifting the seas, bringing death to other ships… Philippe’s son sets out on a dangerous and risky adventure to save his father’s soul.
