The ways of science are not for us to know. Discoveries by scientists can become a breakthrough for the future—or lead to catastrophe. For physicist Timofey Bodrov, who is working on the problem of the Universe’s dimensional unfolding, a difficult choice arises: to continue research for the rest of his life, or to acknowledge its deadly danger for humanity and destroy what has been done.
