The End of Eternity

Once science reaches a certain level of development, it solves the problem of time travel by using the colossal energy released by the explosion of a supernova. Humanity creates a structure called “Eternity,” made up of specially trained and selected people from different centuries who have taken vows of celibacy. Eternity’s task—headed by the Council of Times—is to correct humanity’s fate, which, on its path, constantly slides toward self-destruction. In Eternity, reality is fleeting and changeable. One can keep humanity’s destinies in one’s hands. Shape them into the best form as desired. From cosmic distance, Earth seems insignificant. And it’s foolish to compare a few people with millions.
