Judge Irina is handling a case of negligence by a trauma doctor, as a result of which the duty nurse died at the workplace. The picture of the crime is clear; it remains only to determine the degree of guilt of the trauma surgeon Ordyntsov. But just as there are no simple procedures for a doctor, there are no easy cases for a judge. When Irina learns that a few minutes before the nurse’s death she made a strange phone call—and that after that a family archive disappeared from her apartment—Irina begins to wonder: was the woman’s death truly a tragic accident?
