When the Cicadas Sing

In Emerson, a wealthy suburb of Boston, life is calm and steady until, in one of the houses, they find the body of a murdered girl—twenty-year-old Eden Perry. Three older high-school students become suspects, since the night before they were at her place: Hannah—a quiet girl with an unstable mind; Jack—a cynical teenager with bad tendencies who wants to be the leader; and Christopher—a complex outsider who desperately tries to fit into their group. Rich parents are ready to do anything to protect their children, even if it means “drowning” someone else. But the mother of the murdered girl is determined to find the truth. Can a random witness—who happened to be nearby on that fateful night—help her?
