Description
This was supposed to be a science-fiction adventure book about teenagers and the Fatherland War. But it didn’t turn out that way. It didn’t fit within the genre laws according to which the enemies must be stupid, the adventures interesting, and the hero—the young “progressor”—“with a wooden Russian spoon laid down eight fascists.” Yet there are adventures, and the hero, Boris Shalygin, fourteen years old, really does end up in wartime completely unexpectedly, and there is a happy ending—if you can call it that.
