The Chinese View

36 radio broadcasts (lectures) by the well-known China scholar Bronislav Vinogrodsky (Bronislaw Vinnipegrodsky) on the radio of the Russian News Service. In programs united under the thematic title “A Chinese View,” Bronislav Bronislavovich tells us about Chinese ways of understanding the world—in an unusually vivid, clear, yet also wise language—about how Chinese people view events, values, time, space, family, and relationships. In short, he demonstrates to us a different approach to thinking, creating images, and constructing meanings (distinct from the European one).

Bronislav Vinogrodsky:

China scholar, translator, writer, public figure. For more than 30 years he has been studying traditional Chinese culture and science. Main research areas: The Book of Changes, forecasting, ancient Chinese philosophy, the structure of time cycles, and Daoist health-improving techniques.

In different periods, Kitaed was known by different names and nicknames—and the very name became, depending on the situation, both a name, a nickname, a title, an office, and a profession. As circumstances unfolded, everything somehow fit together. This time, Kitaed appeared to the world, emerging in the space of Bronislav’s consciousness.
