Chinese Folk Tales

Long ago, when writing didn’t yet exist, the Chinese created many amazing fairy tales that reflected geography, climate, the plant and animal world, as well as the features of people’s lives and their worldview. Our book will introduce you to some of these tales, including stories about animals where birds and beasts stand on equal footing with humans. The collection also includes magical fairy tales where reality blends with fantasy, as well as stories about everyday life and customs of the Chinese people.
