Description
In childhood, many serious things are perceived lightly and carefree. But Leo Tolstoy’s work “The Prisoner of the Caucasus” caused a storm of emotions in two girls, Valya and Katyusha. Even a warm sunny day could not comfort them. They wanted to come up with their own ending, definitely a happy one.
Going out into the garden, the girls came across a pit. It was exactly what they needed. Everything that amazes in childhood must be relived in play. Valya and Katyusha decided to play. Little Misha would be Zhilin, and the dog Tuzik would be Kostylin, and Dina... Each of the girls wanted to be Dina, so they decided not to quarrel and first try on the roles of fierce Tatars.
It was fun to play. True, they had to stray from the plotline. The prisoners liked the pit very much and did not want to leave it at all, even for the sake of escape. In the end, Valya and Katyusha decided to sit in the pit too, for there could be more prisoners...
When their mother returned, she found her children only with great difficulty. And the girls thought that “The Prisoner of the Caucasus” was fun and interesting, and were surprised by their mood that morning.
