February 1920. The remnants of the shattered White Guards leave Arkhangelsk, but the Reds are still far from celebrating victory. The newly established Soviet power has many problems—and the most urgent one is ensuring the urgent delivery of bread from Siberia. To accomplish this extremely difficult task, a very risky plan is set in motion under the conditions of the Arctic: the bread is decided to be transported by the Northern Sea Route on ships. The chances of success are slim and become even slimmer when the Bolsheviks’ intentions are discovered by saboteurs hiding out in the White underground.
